Radio Shangri-La

I am currently reading this book by Lisa Napoli, and it is ah-may-zing. Google it, since I'm such a book spoiler when I write a synopsis.
My attempt:
The book is a memoir of the authors trips to the small kingdom of Bhutan.  It is known to be the last country that has not scummed to western influence.   The author herself is in a state of self discovery when she first ventures to Bhutan, allowing the reader to really question this everyday American lifestyle a lot of us live.  Also it is very informative regarding the everyday life of this country that many have never even heard of.

A new look

Since life is ever changing around here, why not just chop off all my hair.

I never promised this would be easy...

"I never promised this would be easy." This fits most of what is going on around here lately.
We did make it back safe and sound to DC. The flight home consisted of this

One sleepy Gigi and one tired momma.

Things around here are changing drastically, my sense of direction is being pulled in 2 different ways, but all I can do is adapt to everything and hope I make the decision that is best for me and my daughter. (I know, very vague but until life is set in stone, no need to jinx myself)

Gigi has been spending her evenings walking around the house in Skyler's flip-flops.  A new favorite of hers. I can't wait until she finds my heels.

Trip: Day 3

Sunday was really nice out, not so much warm but definitely plenty of sun so we ended up at a local playground in the afternoon. Genevieve has always had a love for swings so it'as our go to playground toy.

We had always stayed away from most slides, things to climb on, basically anything that would, a. give me a heartattack and b. involving plunging into the gravel bottom - until this trip.

Genevieve & I survived this playground escapade without any bumps or bruises.  It really shows how quickly time passes, before I know it we will be on the monkey bars, oy vey.
