I'm leaving on a jet plane...

Genevieve and I are getting ready for our first plane ride together, just the two of us.  I started packing on Monday, I am a horrible packer.  I don't know what to bring, how many outfits, how many toys, how many diapers, so I eventually over pack and can't close our suitcase.  I re-pack and repeat this process about three times.  We will be gone for about 10 days and for me, with a toddler, that seems like an eternity.  How is this so difficult for me?  After years of traveling, I am still your chronic, squeeze your life into a suitcase, type of person.  One day, I swear, one day I will be super mom and this will come so easily for me, maybe.

An afternoon at the beach

Day one.

Day One, of the job search, has commenced. I am truly enjoying this much needed vacation and relaxation period, but all good things do come to an end. The whole experience is liberating, I am finally at peace with myself and I am given this opportunity to truly find a job I enjoy. Cross your fingers everything goes well.
We are also coming up to Genevieve's 19 month "birthday". I can't wait to do an update, considering she is learning immensely every day, its baffling.

been awhile

I know I haven't updated this in a few months. Soon, I promise. I will leave you with a few pictures of my not so small pumpkin.

Fish

Sometimes I am at a loss for things to do on the weekends.  Our typical playground and farm outings become a tad redundant.  This weekend we visited my friend who lives minutes from DC. Out of sure coincidence she happened to purchase a few goldfish earlier that day -insert mesmerizer toddler.  Genevieve loved staring at the goldfish.

Later, she got a bit daring and attempted to "pet" the fish.  Fish - 1, Genevieve - 0.  Sounds like a perfect first pet to me.
